Brook Lodge Reviews

Jonathan
The lodge and its surroundings are absolutely beautiful, and it's clear that everything is exceptionally well maintained and spotlessly cleaneasily one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed. The owners are friendly and welcoming while still respecting your privacy, which we really appreciated. The bell at the gate is a thoughtful touch, giving a headsup when the owner arrives to clean the hot tub, which is done daily and very discreetly. Every detail has been carefully considered, from fresh milk in the fridge and welcome treats on arrival to towels and a water bowl for the dogs. Our dogs loved it just as much as we didthe secure, spacious garden gave them plenty of room to run around safely. There's also a lot to see in the surrounding area, and the provided information pack made it easy to explore the local sights, which are incredibly scenic. The only small downside was the low water pressure in the shower, but honestly, it was a very minor issue compared to how perfect everything else was. This lodge truly offers a peaceful and wellthoughtout getaway.
This is a lovely place to stay, its ideal for a range of reasons, you have your own area, so great if you want privacy, its all fenced off so if you have a dog, it can be let out and will not escape. The hot tub is nice to have, lovely at anytime of day, and owners come a clean the hot tub daily. The location is on a farm but this wasnt any issue to us. We were out site seeing everything day, but its down to what you want to do, the local pub is lovely, a bit pricey, but all locals need to survive nowadays, so didn't mind paying more, worth a visit. All in all, we had a lovely week, and would go back.
Really homely lodge in the middle of nowhere. Nature all around. Outside covered area which means you can be outside even when it's raining. Welcome pack was really good and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Everything you could need was in the lodge. The hot tub was a real bonus. Can't wait to go back again!

Had a lovely break here and would go back again.
What a beautiful lodge. It was very cosy and so clean. The very safe, enclosed garden meant we could let our little dog roam free with no worries. The hot tub was amazing, and the hamper of goodies waiting for us on arrival was a lovely touch. Thank you for a fantastic relaxing stay!
Costin
Lovely hosts, beautiful setting of the Lodge with a great interior design and everything you need, quiet and cosy, definitely recommend.
Great stay in this lovely cottage. Wonderful hosts and well equipped for our family's needs. We'd stay again in a heartbeat!
The Lodge was perfect, just what we needed for a relaxing break. The garden was secure, ideal for our dog to wander around without the worry of her escaping. The Lodge was extremely clean and very cosy, everything you could possibly need was supplied, plenty of kitchen equipment ,towels etc. The welcome pack was delicious
Absolutely lovely. Peaceful and relaxing
Roslyn
The lodge was lovely and had everything you would need for a wonderful holiday there . Very clean and well maintained , and the garden is well kept . The hot tub was a welcoming bonus and we all enjoyed spending some time in it , my husband loved it !!! There was a lovely welcome tray on arrival and fresh milk in the fridge . Wern Newydd Farm in Wales is beautiful and really peaceful , and close for exploring other places , New Quay less than half an hour away , Aberystwyth an hour and other lovely places inbetween , we went out to somewhere different every day , had some scrummy fish and chips in New Quay at The Lime Crab ,highly recommend ! . The owners of Wern Newydd Farm Terry and Louise are a really lovely couple , very welcoming and friendly , and have lots of knowledge of the area and ideas of places to go if needed . We did a lovely national trust visit while we were there , being members of national trust . I would definitely go back and recommend a holiday there 100 . Thankyou Terry and Louise for a wonderful holiday ,we all throughly enjoyed ourselves . Xx
This was our 2nd stay at brook lodge & was equally as great as the 1st stay. Bonus of better weather this time. Such a comfortable & well equipped lodge. Very dog friendly, with just the biggest secure garden for dogs to enjoy. Owner are both so friendly & helpful. Would definitely recommend. We will return!!
Just come back from a weeks stay at Brook Lodge, we had the most beautiful weather which made our stay even more beautiful. The lodge itself was exceptionally clean especially for a dog friendly property, The bed in the main bedroom is huge and super comfy the only problem we found was due to the size of the bed there was little room to store clothes there is however a hanging rail in the cupboard so could easily be rectified by either bringing your own hangers of there being more at the property. The kitchen was very well equipped, we cooked a few times but also had a couple of take aways and a meal out at The Bunch Of Grapes which was a short 10 minute drive We would recommend a visit, they are very friendly and the food was perfect. We were welcomed by a lovely welcome pack including bits for our dog which was a lovely touch. You can tell that Louise and Terry welcome feedback because things raised in previous feedback have been improved for example there is now a bell they ring prior to coming in to check the hot tub. We felt very respected by Louise and Terry, we were left to enjoy our holiday without interruption however on the occasions we did bump into them we had chit chat which was nice too, I felt they were great hosts for sure. Finally the gardengrounds are also very well kept, the garden is very safe for dogs, we loved the boarder of wild flowers around the edge of the garden too. On route in and out of the property we enjoyed seeing the birds, sheep, chickens, rabbits and squirrels too. It really was a beautiful lodge in a great location on lovely grounds owned by the nicest of hosts.
Steven
We have stayed at this lodge before and found it to be well kept and the surrounding ground is ideal for our dogs as it gives them the freedom to roam around as they wish. Louise and Terry are a lovely couple and always ask if everything is ok for you. We find that it's an ideal location for easy access to the nearby west coast beaches. Look forward to staying here again.
Rebecca
Property was exactly as listed, came with all of the home comforts you could want after a day exploring Wales! The dog absolutely loved the enclosed garden space and the hot tub was the best way to relax of an evening. Would absolutely reccomend this holiday cottage to any couples or small family's with dogs looking to book in the area!
What a amazing place! Perfect in every way. We all had a fantastic time. Dogs where so happy in the large garden & we just loved everything. Hot tub amazing!! Terry & Louise so lovely & welcoming. A really lovely time was had by all . Already booked again for next year.
A lovely comfortable lodge. The hot tub was clean and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog although please note, when the owners check the hot tub, they do just walk in without warning, even if coming outside of the specified 10.30 11.00 times. A suggestion would be for there to be a bell on a gate that is rung, giving a warning and enabling time to get the dog secured and get some clothes on! Other than that, the bed was really comfortable and the place was spotless. The local pub, the daffodil, served really good food and it is close enough to visit the coast.
Dominika
Such a great place to stay, especially if you are staying with a dog as the garden is awesome, large and secure. We felt welcomed and really appreciated the gifts left for us on arrival tea, biscuits, eggs bread and even some treats for our dogs The lodge was very clean and cosy, hot tub is just amazing, and exactly what you need after an active day in Wales. It's nicely located, not too far away from south or north coast the beaches there are superb Overall great stay and we were sad to leave. Will definitely recommend
We really enjoyed our stay at Brook Lodge we received such a warm welcome and we were really impressed with the lodge. It was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need. We really appreciated the welcome pack with treats on arrival. The garden is big and fully enclosed and our two dogs enjoyed exploring and running around they too were welcomed with treats! The lodge was spotlessly clean when we arrived and there is plenty of space for a family. We really enjoyed our stay I wish we could have stayed longer! I would definitely recommend Brook Lodge and we would definitely stay here again.
Amazing weekend away. Everything so clean and well equipped . Hot tub was perfect and the garden was so secure for our very small dog. Definitely will be recommending and definitely we will be returning.
Lovely lodge Quiet peaceful and beautiful setting. Lovely hosts, good location.
Denise
A big thank you to Louise and Terry. We had a lovely holiday at Brook Lodge. The accommodation was perfect. Very clean, well equipped and ideal for holidaying with our 2 dogs. Lovely large safe garden, which I think they are now missing. The location was perfect for us. We were able to vist and explore the coast and countryside easily. Where we enjoyed some beautiful walks. We would love to return again in the spring. So we can see the area at a different time of year. Thank you again.
Brilliant time and brook lodge went with two you children and was a perfect quite little get away the cabin is awesome
Lovely stay at Brooke Lodge So peaceful and ideal for our dog to have the fee ... Lovely stay at Brooke Lodge So peaceful and ideal for our dog to have the fee run of the garden The owners were both very helpful
Very nice week away shame about the weather but cannot be helped. owners were very nice people and very friendly and left us to ourselves. the house was clean and had everything we needed. Property was very safe for our large dog and she could not get out and enjoyed herself. would def stay again
We had a wonderful stay, the lodge was very clean & comfortable, and the location idyllic. The garden is such a secluded and peaceful place with the birdsong providing the soundtrack, we decided more than once just to spend the day relaxing there. We loved the hot tub, which got used daily, it's the best we have had at a holiday let, it really helped after a long day in the car. The bed too is worthy of note. Very big and very comfortable. Louise and Terry are great hosts, we got a very warm and friendly welcome with lots of advice on places to visit and where to eat and get the best ice cream, We didn't see much of them as they obviously respect their guest privacy and only come over to tend the hot tub once a day. We only stayed 1 week, and if we could have done would have happily stayed another, and I hope we get to stay again sometime soon.
Jackie
Third time me and my dogs have stayed at this property. We love it here . The property is immaculately cleaned. The hot tub is lovely extra , especially as its undercover. The grounds are dog proof and I would recommend this property as dog friendly. Terry and Louise are very friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return in the future, its a gem .
We had a lovely stay at Brook Lodge, the cabin is comfortable and clean and had everything we needed, including a lovely welcome pack and even some useful items for our dog. The cabin is very spacious inside and has a huge secure garden surrounding it, and a lovely large hot tub right outside the door, also the surrounding area is beautiful and peaceful. There is a well stocked nearby shop and a pub that serves food, and New Quay is about a twenty minute drive away. The owners Terry and Louise are very nice and were thoughtful of our privacy, although were at the nearby cottage if we had any problems, of which we had none. Everything was simply perfect and we would highly recommend a stay at Brook Lodge.
Alicia
All I can say is WOW! Everything was spotless, the hottub got checked and cleaned daily! Peaceful and private. Will be going back ASAP very welcoming to our dogs! The garden was fully enclosed and even my little frenchie couldn't escape! Thank youu both for our welcome hamper and the doggie essentials
Stephen
The cabin and garden were very nice. Sadly, the hot tub was dirty and unsafe to use. The water was cloudy with what appeared to be an oil slick on top. The sides of the tub were also greasy to touch. and it was not fit to use. When we complained to the owner his only reaction was to tell us to leave , which we did the following morning.
Annmarie
Had a lovely stay in the lodge . There was everything you needed there . Even though we had a small dog he was very secure in the enclosed garden . The owners were very friendly and helpful . Hot tub was amazing . Would definitely recommend it for a quite and peaceful stay
Kerrie
Brook Lodge was such an amazing holiday! We were 4 people and two dogs and we couldn't have asked for somewhere better. The lodge was bigger than what it looks in the photos and fit us comfortably. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed, as well as a really nice welcome pack included. The dogs had so much space to play and run around all day, and the garden is very secure so we didn't have to worry! The lodge is on a beautiful farm and really very quiet and peaceful. We tried some of the farms chicken and duck eggs which were lovely. I would definitely recommend this place and I wouldn't hesitate to book again!! Thanks for a wonderful holiday!
Monika
Great place for holiday with kids , so quiet. . no cars , no people, owners are very helpful and kind
Peaceful stunning location, totally relaxing break just what was needed.
We would like to say a big thank you to Terry and Louise a beautiful and peaceful place to stay nothing was too much trouble spotlessly clean and tidy and thank you for the bottle and biscuits. A lovely time spent will recommend this to our family and friends Dee & Ed
Ideal holiday lodge, especially having the hot tub to use after a day out. The main attraction for us was the beautiful garden, as we had 2 dogs with us. It was lovely to open the door and let them out in the secure garden. I think I can safely say Bailey and Woody really enjoyed their holiday. Everything you need in lodge. Think nicer than photos show. Lovely meal in the Daffodil just 5 minute walk up the lane. Terry and Louise lovely couple who own the farm, who also left us a lovely welcome pack
Rabina
Amazing! Very clean, lovey presented and lacked nothing. Would definitely empty recommend to family and friends.
Jackie
Lovely cosy cottage, very clean, with a welcome pack on arrival. Really enjoyed the hot tub. Owners were very helpful and informative, but not intrusive. Our two Labradors, really enjoyed the enclosed garden ,a genuine dog friendly cottage. Very helpful information pack on the cottage. Have already booked to come back next year.
Andrea
We had a very restful holiday in this lovely little lodge. Both my husband and I had worked through lockdown and were desperate for some peace and quiet and this was definitely the place to go. We were also very lucky with the weather, despite the forecasts, which was a bonus. The lodge was neat and clean and had everything we needed as well as a welcome package, we actually don't think the photos did it justice! The bathrobes in the main bedroom were also a nice touch. We took 2 teenagers and were worried that they would get bored but the wifi signal was good and the hot tub well used every day. Our 2 little dogs absolutely loved the gardenfield and the fact they could roam around freely. It was fully enclosed unlike other places we've visited that say they're enclosed but actually aren't. The little shop at the top of the lane provided what little bits we needed. We didn't get to try the local pub as when we were thinking of going it was closed for a couple of days preparing for September opening and distancing. The owners to Brook Lodge were very helpful, checked the hot tub every day and told us of a few nearby walks and local places to visit I think they were worried that we didn't go out much! We did visit several of the coastal towns but tended to stick to quieter times of the day, as when the weather was really nice they did get very busy. If we ever needed a place to relax and unwind we would definitely consider booking this place again.
Rhiannon
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Brook Lodge. Louise and her husband were really nice and personable. The hottub was brilliant and got lots of use. The lodge has its own garden which is a really good size and great for the kids. Plus village has good amenities with village shop and Daffodil Inn.
What a wonderful weeks holiday! A big thank you to Louise and Terry for making the perfect trip! Everything was just right! 25 mins away for some fantastic beaches and the lodge was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Thank you so much!
