Ty Marlyn Reviews

The view from the house is magnificent. There is a delightful walk along the edge of the of the estuary. The house is roomy and well equiped. All the pottery smelt from poor cleaning in the dishwasher. I would take a dishwasher cleaner with you.
Sandra
This property is fabulous. Stayed with my family for a 60th birthday. Did not disappoint The house is lovely and we enjoyed staying there. The little village is so friendly with a fabulous pub and spectacular food. The property manager Darren was so helpful and accommodating Could not fault anything
Out of this world! Beautiful surroundings and the house itself was absolutely stunning!
Joanne
The stay was perfect the only few things we would like to recommend or feedback is the towels were very small and I believe with the large utility room there could have been surplus towels provided. The hoover was horrendous could do with changing. Minor inconvenience here lol, no potato peeler and potato masher in the well stocked kitchen. And maybe more bin bags would have been handy. We will definitely be returning all fell in love with the house the View and everything it had to offer
Michael
Good afternoon, although Darren was helpful on check in, the property maintenance and cleanliness was very disappointing. The wine fridge was broken, blinds in the dining area were broken, a seat in the dining room had no bolts and not safe, the salad compartment in the fridge was broken. The cleanliness of the property was not very good, toilets in 2 bathrooms were not clean, the oven and fridge were dirty, there was mould on the floor of the shower in the main bathroom en suite, fingerprints on all the doors in the main living and dining area. The hoover was completely blocked and not cleaned out, the tumble dryer is faulty. The hot tub couldn't be used for 24 hours which was one of the main reasons we booked this property so missed a day of use, not enough info regarding the towel situation which were very minimal. The property itself was great, but for the amount of money we spent it was very disappointing to experience these problems and certainly no excuse for the cleanliness. Wasn't up to the standards we expect from similar properties we have rented in the same price bracket.
Louise
We had an amazing stay at a beautiful property. Everything you could need was on hand.
Stunning house, large garden leading down to beautiful view of estuary and does sleep 12 very comfortably. local pub and shop about 510 minute walk away. Had a girlie weekend and was amazing. Hot tub was an added bonus for next day hangover aid Kitchen well stocked and plenty of parking space outside the property. Would love to return with family for a short break.
The property was marvellous and facilities support whilst we were there was very good however I wouldnt recommend the property to friends because the hot tub wasnt available on the first night and it had a very unpleasant pungent smell whilst there. They did come out to put bleach in, but it put us off using it. I would also say cleaning of the bathrooms wasnt up to scratch lots of hairs in the shower from previous occupants.
The location of the house and garden are excellent with superb views. The house itself is brilliant for the six of us, but not sure it would cater for 12 people comfortably with number of beds and lounge chairs. TV and car charging facilities excellent. Bedroom and bathrooms were excellent, showers were brilliant. The reason I have dropped a couple of the scores is some of the propertyfacilities were in need of updating given the price of the property. Some doors didn't open, hot tub small even for six, games room needs a refresh, benefit from a coffee machine, wine fridge needs fixing, outside table fire pit needs fixing and bin situation not ideal. For a pet friendly property it wouldn't take much to secure the garden. I have to call out Darren the agent who risked life to change the battery in the smoke alarm that started bleeping 1am the first night we were there, it was fixed by the time we got back on Monday so a great response.
Unfortunately, I am compelled to rate this property most favourably. This means that it may make it more difficult for me to rebook it next year! It really was a magical weekend, in a prime location. We wanted for nothing at all.
Christine
This property is amazing. Beautiful house with lovely views. Very well equipped, high quality furnishings, large open plan ground floor and a delightful sitting room upstairs. The warm welcome from Darren is a bonus. Our family, four generations, had a wonderful holiday in this perfect property.
Exceeded expectations lovely house and location
Annette
An amazing house which is perfect in so many ways! Everything you possibly need is provided. Spacious Accomodation. Beautiful setting.
We stayed at Ty Marlyn over the Christmas period, the house is amazing and was beautifully decorated for the festivities. The kids loved the games room, pool table, darts etc. whilst the adults relaxed in the hot tub. We were delighted with the bottles of fizz, mince pies and cookies left for us. The kitchen is well equipped with everything needed to cook Christmas lunch. We had a lovely relaxing family time together. The only negative point is the garden is not secure for the dogs, so they could hop next door onto land that doesn't belong to Ty Marlyn. It wasn't a huge problem for us as we didn't spend time in the garden due to the weather but would be a problem in the summer. Otherwise we loved it and hope to come back again this year.

60th Birthday Celebration We travelled to Ty Marlyn to celebrate my 60th birthday myself, husband our three children, partners and dog. We had a wonderful stay. The first of the party were greeted by Darren who showed them around. The house is just as the pictures show with everything you could need for a very comfortable stay. We were extremely lucky with the weather even though it was early October so spent a lot of time exploring south Wales. The beaches are incredible. We were also able to spend time in the lovely garden and hot tub. The games room in the garage and games room in the house are very useful if the weather is poor but on this occasion we really didnt need them. Thank you so much to the owners for sharing this gorgeous house we would love to return in the future.
Stella
Superb property,
Michael
Excellent holiday home! The house was as per the photos and very comfortable. Would love to return soon
Would have got 5 stars but bit overpriced and Ant infestation in lounge. No free view box had to log into Netflix and Amazon to view. Apart from this, had a comfortable and good stay. Would recommend, but elsewhere you get more for less money, considering its south wales.
Trevor
A truly enjoyable experience.
Alicia
Perfect holiday accommodation for our large family group. It was well equipped with everything that you could possibly need and was spotlessly clean. The teenagers loved the games room and table tennis darts in the garage. The house is in a great location perfect for trips into Gower if its sunny and the indoor attractions in Swansea if the weather is poor . I would highly recommend!
Sameh A.
Great place. The owners seem to be creative giving attention to every single detail of the villa. Highly recommended.
