Vale Cottage Reviews

Emma
The place is super handy, just a short walk to the beach where our dogs loved running around. Plenty of comfy seats and having a tumble dryer was a lifesaver for drying damp clothes. The pub nearby has friendly staff and a decent menu too!
Emma
We loved the location of this place - just a short stroll to the beach and some lovely pubs. The shared family room downstairs was perfect for us, giving everyone space to relax together. The house is nicely furnished and cosy. Sadly, we found out only a couple of days before our stay that the hot tub was out of order, which was a bit of a bummer, but we did get a refund after chasing it. Overall, a great home and we'd definitely come back!
Luke
Charming place, ideal spot, loved it!
Emma
Staying at Vale Cottage was fantastic. The location is stunningand the place itself was cosy and well-equipped. Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! It’s the perfect little getawayand we’ll definitely be back soon.
Emma
This cottage is perfect, with fantastic walking trails just outside. We really enjoyed a laid-back stay with our dogs, despite the weather not being the best. Would definitely come back again!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was super cosy and spotless, with a lovely courtyard garden to relax in. Perfect spot near the sandy beach - dog friendly too! Port Eynon was gorgeous for walks, making our holiday truly memorable.
Emma
We had a really lovely week at The Vale, even though we were a bit unsure at first because of some mixed reviews. The hot water was a bit of a letdown-had only one good bath day since the water mostly stayed lukewarm. That said, the location is fantastic, with loads of beautiful beaches nearby, all within a 15-minute drive, perfect for taking our dogs out. We specifically look for places that are safe for reactive dogsand this place was perfect-completely enclosed, so our big Rottweiler could roam freely without worries. The garden furniture and hot tub were a real treat, especially on sunny days. The bed was super comfyand everything we needed was there in the house. We’re already planning to come back next year, though we couldn’t get our dates in September. All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely recommend it-by far the best place in the area!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay at Vale Cottage! The bed and sofa were super comfy, making relaxing after days out a breeze. The master bedroom was spacious and lovely, though the other two bedrooms were quite small. We loved using the hot tub daily - it’s a real highlight! The location is perfect, just a couple of minutes to the pub and a short walk to the beach. Would definitely return!
Clara
The place is really lovely, such a great spot and the property itself is gorgeous. We did run out of hot water a couple of times, which was a bit frustrating. Also, the neighbour seemed pretty annoyed about us being there-he was quite rude when we were unloading and told us to turn the music down while we were relaxing in the hot tub. Still, we enjoyed our stay overall!
Emma
This cosy cottage is perfect for six, with a lovely garden and hot tub. Only downside is parking - just one space available, sadly.
Emma
The cottage's location is fantasticand we loved the cosy feel. However, reaching the management was trickyand the beds with TV units in the kickboards were a bit fiddly to use.
Emma
We really enjoyed the place! The decor was lovely and the beds super comfy. The sofas were perfect for relaxing after days out. Loved having a hot tub and the garden. Only downside was the downstairs shower being a bit cold on the last day, but overall, a great stay!
Emma
The garden's really safe, so we could just unwind in the hot tub without stressing about our greyhound running off. Plenty of nearby walks made it perfect for our dog. We’ll definitely be booking again soon!
