Unpack any tasty Welsh provisions you have bought in the kitchen, which has been fitted out with everything you need to help you cater for your party. A property trapped in time; the original features of this character cottage have been sympathetically maintained to create a unique destination holiday home. Despite the textured stone walls, original oak beams and slate flagged flooring in this former clog makers cottage, care has been taken to update the property to an excellent modern standard, complete with a private hot tub, modern appliances and extremely comfortable beds in all three bedrooms. Six guests are invited to stay in comfort in this one-of-a-kind space, enjoying the ever-pleasant gardens bordered by woodlands with a stream running through in the summer or cosying up by the wood burner when the weather turns cold.
You’re greeted with rustic charm as you step into the dining room with a large farmhouse table and a decorative Aga. From here you can head upstairs to find all three bedrooms and the bathroom or stay downstairs to access the kitchen or lounge. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you might need to feed six hungry guests and the lounge has been smartly laid out with cushy seating, a Smart TV and the wood burner. Take a fun-filled holiday in Wales. Located near the university town of Lampeter, this traditional farmhouse is the perfect place for a big group (and their dogs) to relax, explore, and enjoy rural Wales. Oh, and when you get back from your adventures, make sure you take a dip in the private hot tub.
Enter the property and head to the lounge. It’s a wonderfully cosy space with a wood burner, so bring a good book for quiet evenings. Continue to the conservatory, which has comfortable chairs and a small table, perfect for sunny mornings with drinks. The kitchen/diner has a wide window, so you’ll get plenty of natural light, and there’s a door to the garden as well. On rainy days, go to the games room for some pool or darts. Finishing the ground floor, there’s a WC and a king-size bedroom. Go upstairs, where you’ll find the rest of the bedrooms. You’ll have one king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room and two triple bedrooms, each with one king-size bed and a single bed. The upstairs also has a family shower room with a double walk-in shower. Outside, the property has a BBQ and a dining area on a raised patio, overlooking a stretching lawn enclosed by a wooden fence. After you’ve grilled up a feast, hop in the hot tub to end your day in the best way.

Just 15 minutes away, the National Trust's Llanerchaeron estate (4.6/5 on TripAdvisor) offers a perfectly preserved Georgian villa and working farm. Open daily 10am-5pm, it's worth the short drive.
The Teifi Valley Railway (4.2/5 on TripAdvisor) runs narrow gauge steam trains along a scenic route. Kids love it and the tea room serves excellent Welsh cakes. Open weekends and school holidays, 10:30am-4:30pm.

Dogs will love the walks around Lampeter. The Teifi Pools trail offers five lakes with stunning views and plenty of space for dogs to run. The path is well-marked but can get muddy after rain.
Y Talbot pub (SA48 7BG) welcomes dogs in the bar area and serves great food. They even provide water bowls and treats. We've heard the Sunday roast is exceptional.
Conti's Café (SA48 7BN) has outdoor seating where dogs are welcome. Their homemade ice cream is fantastic after a long walk. They're open 9am-5pm daily.
Most beaches within 30 minutes' drive allow dogs year-round, including parts of Aberaeron and New Quay. Remember to bring towels for muddy paws before getting back in the car or jumping in the hot tub!

The Dolaucothi Gold Mines (SA19 6NA) are the only known Roman gold mines in Britain. Put on a hard hat and take the underground tour to see how gold was extracted 2,000 years ago. Cors Caron National Nature Reserve (SN686634) is a massive peat bog with wooden boardwalks that take you right through this unusual landscape. The wildlife spotting is excellent - red kites, otters and if you're lucky, the rare marsh fritillary butterfly. Free entry and open all year. Visitors describe it as "wonderfully peaceful" and "teeming with birds".
